Does shampoo or conditioner ever expire?

There are different types of hair shampoos and conditions . Some are made with ingredients with a shorter shelf life while others last longer. A conditioner made with mint will last longer than that made with egg.
One thing you should look out for in a shampoo or conditioner that has surpassed its shelf live, is its smell, texture and potency. If your nice smelling shampoo begins to smell funny and feels like paste or gelatin, you should consider throwing it out.

M$Shampoo and conditioner does not typically expire. They are one of those things we can stock up on and not have to worry about it. I usually stock up on shampoo and conditioner. Whenever I see it on sale I pick it up.
My grandma is practically a hoarder and trust me, she has used shampoo and conditioner much older than 3 years of age. She is 86 and still alive and kicking.:)
As I mentioned, it should be fine, but if there is a doubt, it is not worth chances things. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1024/567117031_fc2db9e383_m.jpg

M$Here are my suggestions:
- Store it in a cabinet of some sort. Keeping it in the shower could make it go bad quicker.
- Check every month or so for the texture and color of your shampoo. If the color is changing, or it's getting crispy/thinner I wouldn't risk it.
- Organic/Homemade shampoo does start to smell bad after a while... trust me.
